Great Weekend!
Mar. 4th, 2012 10:11 pmDevon came to visit this weekend, and even though her flight on Friday got canceled because of tornados and stuff, we still managed to have a full Saturday and Sunday of adventures! I always have SUCH a good time with her... it's so sad that our time of doing everything together is over... she really is one of my all time favorite people!
Today she went dress shopping with me, and we got an awesome beautiful dress for the courthouse marriage in a couple of weeks, and we also happened to find (accidently) my actual wedding dress! For the wedding in a year's time. I feel like it'll likely need alterations by that point, cause I'm hoping to lose 10-30 more pounds... but we shall see. It was a great deal, and looks amazing! I can't believe how good I looked in all of these dresses... I didn't look like a fat chick at all, it was incredible :). So I'm super excited about the dresses... and David talked to his parents about the wedding ceremony a bit yesterday, and I think we're off to a good start! It all seems to be happening! It's so unreal still... I can't believe I have only 2 weeks (from tomorrow) left of being Amber Smoot... very strange!
I'm looking forward to my birthday this week and my bachelorette party this upcoming weekend!
On my way to a conference in Indy tomorrow for childhood apraxia of speech. It's snowing now (weird..) so I hope my drive isn't too bad... I have to leave at 6:30 or so to be there on time.
